Antonio Metelli (1806 – 1874) is a central figure for Romagna, author of the “History of Brisighella and the Amone Valley”, considered a fundamental point of reference for local historiography, which combines rigorous documentary research with careful descriptions of the territory, traditions and events of the Risorgimento.

The name Brix is inspired by the origin of the word 'Brisighella' and the project of the same name dedicated to Albana wine, the territory's identity symbol. The name Demeter comes from the Greek goddess of agriculture and fertility, depicted in the fresco decorating the ceiling of the entrance hall.
